HOW TO DESIGN A REVOLUTION: THE CHILEAN ROAD TO DESIGN
Within the framework of the commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the civil-military coup in Chile, La Moneda Cultural Center, the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, the MIT International Science and Technology Initiatives (MISTI), MIT Program in Science, Technology, and Society (STS), the Ministry of Science, Technology, Knowledge and Innovation and Goethe-Institut Chile invite you to know the exhibition How to Design a Revolution: The Chilean Road to Design, a comprehensive exhibition on graphic and industrial design held during the government of President Salvador Allende.
Under the curation of Hugo Palmarola, Eden Medina and Pedro Ignacio Alonso, the exhibition presents a wide and sensitive tour of the visual and material culture of a fundamental historical moment. Thus, through more than 350 original design pieces aimed at collective action, the democratization of reading and music, the reduction of technological dependence and the overcoming of child malnutrition, it will also have the first full reconstruction of the Cybersyn operations room.
CÓMO DISEÑAR UNA REVOLUCIÓN: LA VÍA CHILENA AL DISEÑO
En el marco de la conmemoración de los 50 años del golpe de Estado civil-militar en Chile, Centro Cultural La Moneda, la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, el MIT International Science and Technology Initiatives (MISTI), MIT Program in Science, Technology, and Society (STS), el Ministerio de Ciencia, Tecnología, Conocimiento e Innovación y Goethe-Institut Chile te invitan a conocer la exposición Cómo diseñar una revolución: La vía chilena al diseño, exposición integral sobre el diseño gráfico e industrial realizado durante el gobierno del presidente Salvador Allende.
Bajo la curaduría de Hugo Palmarola, Eden Medina y Pedro Ignacio Alonso, la muestra presenta un recorrido amplio y sensible sobre la cultura visual y material de un momento histórico fundamental. Así, a través de más de 350 piezas originales de diseño destinadas a la acción colectiva, la democratización de la lectura y la música, la reducción de la dependencia tecnológica y la superación de la desnutrición infantil, también contará con la primera reconstrucción integral de la sala de operaciones Cybersyn.
